If anyone comes across any info on what AMD is doing to fix the Bluescreen clock issue with some games would you please post them here?
What a mess you have made for yourself AMD

As much as I wanted Bulldozer to succeed for the sake of a more competitive CPU market, after reading a fair bit about it, Bulldozer appears to be a complete waste of time for gamers. I was never enticed by it even before the bench tests came out, but surely now that they have it certainly won't do anything to keep Intel from charging their usual high prices.
I haven't heard any news on the matter since the first wave of reviews appeared. Haven't seen any reported issues from end users, so not sure how many are affected, or if its just certain boards/bios combos who suffer from it.
Will try it myself hopefully this week.
Asus Crosshair IV Extreme
AMD FX-8350
AMD ref. HD 6950 2Gb x 2
4x4Gb HyperX T1
Corsair AX1200
3 x Alphacool triple, 2 x Alphacool ATXP 6970/50, EK D5 dual top, EK Supreme HF
If you do will you please try the new Dues Ex. Never in my life have I ever seen an issue like this with PC gaming, the games affected instantly crash the PC with the same error given every time.

Wow this is the first I've heard of this. While I have no current intention of purchasing a Bulldozer CPU due to the gaming performance (or lack thereof), I appreciate you posting this.
ASRock 990FX Extreme4
AMD FX 8350

Are you guys sure it's AMD and not MS with their crappy OS ?
Games work with Thuban, Phenom, Athlon but not with BD ? Weird problem ...
It will be very interesting to see what is the actual problem behind this, and what the fix will entail.

My thoughts exactly. I also find it very strange that the usual media outlets like Anand,HardOCP,Extreme,Tom's etc..have said nothing about this?
I can personally vouch for this issue with games like Dues Ex and can post the exact same screen shot in the article above, so I hope AMD gets on the ball and offers something up.
I wondered if this isn't something to do with the scheduling issue that's been brought up also? I just don't know, but who wants a CPU that doesn't work right either way. I just might send mine back and get one of the K series from Intel, this has been happening to me more with other games. Why just games?
Tried "disabling" the compute units so its only "cores" that windows sees?
All along the watchtower the watchmen watch the eternal return.
I actually thought about this but not certain to what purpose it would serve. If this is half-baked silicon then AMD should eat it and it gets what it deserves. I've stuck with AMD for the last 11 years and quite frankly I'm sick of this kind of crap form them, this will most likely be the last AMD system I ever buy.
I was hoping for more from BD, but oh well. I'm happy with my sandy bridge. Would be nice to have AMD competitive again though. I miss the days when they were pushing intel around with their Athlons

I'm not really disappointed in BD itself, I'm disappointed in AMD for yet again taking forever to release something and it does not even work right.
If the author of that post is correct AMD is aware of this issue and are working on a fix, but what is going on here?
I think I'm going to RMA this chip as it now is doing this with no matter how many cores you disable.
Has to be something wrong with this chip.

I had an issue similar.... but then I found my SSD's in a caddy (pass-through) on my AMD system caused the issue... was realy wierd... took them out and hooked them up individually and seems to have solved it

The issue is Bios related. There is a fix out for ASUS 990FX users in the AMD section. Works too

That's weird RCG_BEX.
I hope this is just BIOS related, and I don't know what all the hush, hush is about with this?
