Not really sure the results are supposed to be compared. Early CPUs with LHe against retail with LN2 does not fit as an apples to apples comparison. Just enjoy the results for what they are. CVF and retail CPU over 8.5 is cool IMO.

This topic just goes to show that OC'ers have memories as short as the clock cycles of the CPU's they tweak. . . .and what happened to his lifetime ban here???, I see it's no longer in effect.
Most of the staff had the opinion that lifetime was way too much, we shortened it to a year.

And for what it's worth, Andre didn't even post that on XS nor on hwbot. Someone else posted a thread on hwbot, and now a third person posted it here.

Btw, consider this EOD for this, this thread is about Andre's record, and I'll be pruning any posts about anything else.

Shouldn't be hard for retails and newer batches of silicon, has nothing to do with individual....silicon quality is what it is....with deneb 7 gig on lhe was godlike, then later people were doing 7.4 on ln2....

Tbh i'm glad to see this, means when I tell/told people retails will do better I'm not a liar......

Seems as if the last part of post #33 has not been read or at least taken seriously.

At that speed, are you able to run any benchmarks at all or is it strictly a suicide run?
As quoted by LowRun......"So, we are one week past AMD's worst case scenario for BD's availability but they don't feel like communicating about the delay, I suppose AMD must be removed from the reliable sources list for AMD's products launch dates"

Evil Gautam, you even deleted my post... wait for Dave's wrath !!! The thing bout most of the marketing guys was too harsh ?

Only suicide man, dunno how high BD actually works with eg 8 cores fully loaded (think Macci and SF3D did 7.2). I already got scared by the sounds of the board at just 6.7Ghz with wprime 1024 lol

Question : Why do some overclockers switch into d*ckmode when money is involved

Impressive result Andre! Good to see headlines with AMD, sad that they choose to piss on the grave of FX....

    Agree (I usually do?)

Welcome back Andre, and fingers crossed that you've taken note what is considered acceptable and not, from what I hear, you have - and for this reason, no concern..... Some others cross the line several times, please do not become one of them.
