This topic just goes to show that OC'ers have memories as short as the clock cycles of the CPU's they tweak. . . .and what happened to his lifetime ban here???, I see it's no longer in effect.

Most of the staff had the opinion that lifetime was way too much, we shortened it to a year.

And for what it's worth, Andre didn't even post that on XS nor on hwbot. Someone else posted a thread on hwbot, and now a third person posted it here.

Btw, consider this EOD for this, this thread is about Andre's record, and I'll be pruning any posts about anything else.

And I can picture us attacking that world, because they'd never expect it.

Forgiving one's mistakes and friendly embracing the ones with the same passion is a thing for gentlemen, which is how all people from a certain level up should be, in any type of activity... At this level, an action like a "ban" is a way to give somebody some time to think about what they have done, and realise the mistake, not a lifetime punishment. Of course, this is my personal opinion, and I may be wrong...

I know the thread(s) very well, I do not remember approving what he did there. BUT, first of all this thread is about a great achievement, second of all Andre is not the only overclocker that ever did a mistake, and third of all, I, as a part of the overclocking community, do not agree with you. That is MY personal opinion and what you stated above is YOUR personal opinion, and I think that our personal opinions do not make a general rule, it is up to the community to judge this. Not in this thread, if you ask me, but again, that is my personal opinion...

Impressive result Andre! Good to see headlines with AMD, sad that they choose to piss on the grave of FX....

    Agree (I usually do?)

Welcome back Andre, and fingers crossed that you've taken note what is considered acceptable and not, from what I hear, you have - and for this reason, no concern..... Some others cross the line several times, please do not become one of them.
