Question Good, stable LGA1366 Board? I care about quality over flashy features

Looks like my old GA-EX58-UD3R is finally read to kick the bucket, it's been the worse board I've ever dealt with by far, googling it finds it is a problematic board.

So for around the $200 range, what's a good board that actually has good circuitry? I'm surprised at how many boards don't follow the USB specifications and such.

I only have 1 gpu, no desire to ever have dual gpu's or raid or whatever.

I just want a board that will last more than 2 years

Asus or ASROCK make great boards and there are lots to choose from. I have an Asus P6T Deluxe V2 and an ASROCK X58 Xtreme and both are rock solid.

EVGA X58 boards were also good, not sure if they are still sold though. My SLI micro was a dream to work with.

Then again so was my X58 UD3R, so your mileage may vary.

Sabertooth X58 from Asus, offers nice performance for the money. Maybe not the best in OC but worth considering. Pretty cheap...

In my experience, if you only care about long term, rock solid stability for years to come you get Intel. If you want a small lifetime knock in exchange for good features, a few gimmicks and decent performance you get Asus. If you don't mind taking another reliability hit in exchange for a long feature list at a good price while still keeping good performance you get Gigabyte. If all you care about is a long gimmick list and fancy marketing you get MSI I haven't used the other brands enough to comment on long term reliability, but ASRock seems to offer awesome value for money.

I started to hate Gigabyte years ago after having three or four Socket 370 boards where the IDE controllers blew, but after the GA-890FXA-UD7/9 I've been decidedly impressed.
