Upgrade Advice: 2600k now or SB-E for budget OCer

I feel like upgrading my aging q6600.

    Options:
    1. Z68 mobo, 2600K OC'd on water,
    2. SB-E 250+ mobo, 530$ for OCable 6core. (any reports that we'll OC the quadcore?) (almost 300$ more costly than 2600k)
    3. Z68, cheap ass sandy bridge, upgrade to Ivy for big OC's in march?

I'm kind of up in arms which route to take. I could make option 3 viable by using the old cpu in a HTPC.
It all depends on if SB-E's cheaper four core cpu can OC to 5ghz or any at all.

What do you all think is best?

Also what is the best mobo for 180-220$ish in z68?

Option 1, I see good multipliers in the FS section all the time , I got mine running 24/7 5ghz on a $180 ASUS p8p67EVO even if Ivy is all we dream it to be (which seldom fully comes to fruition) there probably wont be a huge leap from the 2600k?? I thought i was gonna see mad difference in the chip from the q9650, don't get me wrong my benching #'s are way better but real world noticeable difference is not huge.. When you get an itch....scratch

Z68 & 2600k, although you may want to wait a bit as prices for SB CPUs has actually gone UP about 9% since Bulldozer release.

Probably shouldnt use SB-E and budget in the same sentence lol. I would go with #1, IB is not as great as people seem to think it is.

No idea if the quad core SB-E will be OCable? I refuse to spend 250+550 for SB-E to OC. and 2600K OC > SB-E non oc.
get an answer if anyone knows I'll start the procurement process.

Using good water what clocks and voltages should I plan on for stable use? under 1.4 vcore? 1.35?
4x4gb memory may hinder results obviously.

I ran 1.43v and 5G since January and had no problems. Depends on what you feel comfortable with I guess. I doubt the memory will hinder results, just set mem freq at 1600 and 2T and it should be fine and oc with multi.
