I'll stick with Sapphire for my AMD cards. I haven't heard the greatest things about Powercolors customer support. I wouldn't gamble the type of money that I'm sure that they'll be charging for one of these.

man this really looks like they are coping asus except for sticking with a two slot design and not extending the pcb upwards. They even have a reset switch on the outside of the card like the matrix

Have you dealt with Sapphire's customer service recently? It blows MSI and Asus out of the water. Go ahead send them an email. They'll probably respond within the hour. Their support staff actually seems to know what they are talking about too. RMA turn around time is also very fast. I was impressed and will continue to give them my business.

Last I checked in the USA you are required to pay a fee when you RMA a card. After having to do that with 1 Sapphire card I vowed to never buy Sapphire again.

Nope, you haven't had to do that in quite a while. Asus and MSI could learn something from Sapphire's customer service. I was impressed.

Powercolor on the other hand does charge a processing fee for RMAs if you can get a hold of them.

I was actually kinda impressed by sapphire RMA, i just send in my card and get it back within a week or two.

The conclusion says it all, it's not worth the price considering the nearly $200 price premium for a card that doesn't overclock any better than a normal HD6970 and is much noisier than other HD6970's. If they had beefed up the VRM's, gave it a cooler that was much better than trying to rip off the MARS II, it might have been worth it. At the very least it should have been an Eyefinity 6.

What's with the pricing? At this price, it a total ripoff. Even worse than those watercooling installed cards. What makes this worse is that it is a powercolor card which is typically a cheaper brand because of the bad rep for support. At a 179-200 dollar premium, I expect a water block and twice the memory.

It doesn't even overclock better and doesn't seem to have the same PCB upgrade as cards like the lightening or gigabyte super clock have(both of which have a 50 increase in price only).
