Trinity is the first production run of piledriver and as such it's going to have room for improvement. That improvement might come in production or in tweaks to the design, but by making a couple million trinity chips AMD can figure out how to make these improvements which will be seen in the AM3+ package piledriver.

FX-8350 is still the four-module eight-core design is not locked multiplier, L2 cache is 8MB per module shared 2MB, all modules share 8MB L3 cache, TDP power consumption is 125W, with the FX-8150 does not changed.

The most obvious change is the frequency, based on frequency of 4GHz, if true, then it will be the first breakthrough 4GHz frequency CPU, this frequency the reason why special significance lies in the year Pentium 4, Intel promised 4GHz not ultimately to realize, that the president of Barrett kneel down to apologize, I'm afraid to Intel left its mark, even Sandy Bridge, Ivy Bridge overclocking performance is very good, the highest Turbo frequency seems intent on control in the 3.9GHz, is no more than 4GHz.

Compared with the FX-8150, based on frequency from 3.6GHz to 4GHz, frequency improved by 11%, but the Turbo frequency or to 4.2GHz, coupled with on Piledriver framework of the IPC performance improve performance should be significantly improved Intel SNB / IVB processor architecture, the distance will reduce the number of

    FX Vishera infos

If is it the true then WHAU from my side . I think, IPC per clock will be about 5-10% (according to the benchmark or application), and classic FX Zambezi at 4GHz has good performance

I take it as good news if these launch at 4GHz, but from what I had read originally on the architecture Bulldozer was supposed to launch at 4-4.2GHz so AMD is still pretty far behind their original designs. These really need to be able to overclock above 5GHz consistently on air to give performance similar to Intel offerings in games.
    Rig 1:
    ASUS P8Z77-V
    Intel i5 3570K @ 4.75GHz
    16GB of Team Xtreme DDR-2666 RAM (11-13-13-35-2T)
    Nvidia GTX 670 4GB SLI

    Rig 2:
    Asus Sabertooth 990FX
    AMD FX-8350 @ 5.6GHz
    16GB of Mushkin DDR-1866 RAM (8-9-8-26-1T)
AMD 6950 with 6970 bios flash

Yamakasi Catleap 2B overclocked to 120Hz refresh rate

and not to require a nuclear powerplant to do so would be a plus too

it is not bad that everyone who purchased an FX processor to overclock could afford a nuclear power plant.

so lets discuss these results....granted these are eng samples and beta bioses....

im not sure how i feel about these preliminary results...is it better than 3870k?...

hopefully trinity will be able to OC (higher headroom) much better than the llanos

I see the results as much better than Llano in tasks Llano was lacking most, and about on par with it in task Llano was doing best.
Overlay this is noticeable improvement going forward and as you and I hope it will also OC comparatively better!
Shame we don't have any game benchmark using discreet card to compare these CPU's.

I like it. Still quite a bit weaker than SB in single thread but it seems closer to Llano in performance per clock...

3dsMax was kind of a let down.

Considering Trinity is shipping from OEM's, there will be no magic fairy dust with performance improvements from newer BIOS.

Richland is likely the name of the die (4 core), just like Beavercreek was the codename for the quad-core Llano-part while Winterpark was the dual-core variant.

Most information there looks spot on apart from the amount of graphics cores. It will be 512, not 384

looks like fm2 will be ready for more than 1 generation unlike fm1 was for llano... so that's good news.

cant wait for piledriver+ for vishera.... Improves apon trinity piledriver
