I like that they add a quad-core that's unlocked now.
Now if they just add a Dual core too, that would be nice.

Remember though a dual core Piledriver core would only have a single floating point unit.
    Current:
    Asus Sabertooth 990FX
    AMD FX-6300 @ 4.74GHz
    16GB of Mushkin DDR-1866 RAM (8-9-8-26-1T)
    Nvidia GTX 670

Yamakasi Catleap 2B overclocked to 120Hz refresh rate
    Audio-GD FUN DAC unit w/ AD797BRZ opamps
Sennheiser PC350 headset w/ hero mod

Each module has 256-bit Flex FP logic with a scheduler separate from the integer cores, and can function as 2x128-bit, with each of the integer cores executing 128-bit 'commands' simultaneously (in AVX).

That would be four single precision commands or two double precision commands in parallel per cycle for 256-bit (via AVX instruction as noted).

the total cost of ownership will be greatly increased since no on-board graphic in FM2 boards...

    That is not a Vishera.
It is just the Bulldozer C0 spin.

    Extended model <10h = Orochi (Bulldozer), 10-1Fh = Trinity/Vishera.

The values displayed by CPU-Z are raw values read from CPUID register, does not matter if the software supports the chip or not.

I think, only values of CPU-Z can be wrong, but seems it at Vishera...

The mighty FX 8350 has a base clock of 4.0 GHz and a Turbo Core of 4.2 GHz
Well that sucks. Most have guessed it will need to launch at a base clock of 4GHz, but with all the advancements I was really hoping things would have been fallen into place for the new top processor to be able to turbo up to 4.5GHz or more. It lists 4.2GHz as turbo, so I am guessing that is half the cores active. But with this news I would be single core turbo would still only be 4.4GHz

They have no clue about the specs of Vishera models. They just rehash the rumors we have seen on the internet.

But 4 GHz stock will be great in most applications. This is +400 MHz increase and add IPC. Maybe turbo is not the highest, but remember example FX-4170 and turbo, only 100 MHz...

There is some name schema of 15h family

I cudn't care less how good my current intel system is - I'll always prefer AMD.

I want this motherboard!!! - Here's praying Piledriver at least gives us sandybridge performance and I'll be all over it!!

eh i don't believe those gaming benchs, an OC'd bulldozer does better than that.

    http://www.techpowerup.com/reviews/AMD/FX8150/13.html

but flack3r is right...stick to piledriver!!

looking forward to seeing something asap on vishera

hoping for a mini-ITX am3+!!!! but it probably wont happen

and hopefully these wont be much more expensive than current bulldozer 8 cores prices and the current bulldozer quickly gets decommissioned.

hopefully they will be "were sorry for bulldozer prices"

    also Trinity 2.0???

    http://semiaccurate.com/2012/08/06/a...o-trinity-2-0/

damn kaveri better not be this late...when is Haswell expected to be arriving?

dang amd can never release stuff on time

If its at least as good as trinity PD will be good enough for me! Cant wait for more official benchies!

Would love a 5ghz chip to play with finally! Hope they keep the power envelope in check.
