I ordered a SLHX for the 2nd stage so i don't need to swap the other one.

I'll test again when the SLHX is installed and i'll shorter the captube. was my tought at the first place.

Nono the SLHX in the High stage is only used for the High stage

Update :

Installed SLHX in 2nd stage, and shorten the captube about 15cm. getting vacuumed when i speak. test results in an hour )

-60 measured @ evap with 260W heatload...

Going to cut some extra captube, currently have 3,1m of 0.031

Where is that measuring the temp? Seems warm if it's the evap side or back, but great if it's the base or the tester resistor probe.

Great to see it holding the higher load though Great work!

Temp is measured @ evap, i think the captube is still a little too long, will cut some more tomorrow.
Yeah happy indeed that it holds the load !

Did some tests with a shorter captube, about 3meters now.

Where's the first stage temp measured from? Pressures on both stages?

Didnt measured the first stage temp on the picture, it's basetemp between evap and heatload.

I have some LCD tempsensors that i will install when the case is ready...

Well, quite strange, temperature loaded with sc18cl should be IMO at least approx 10-15*C lower with 260W ...

You use now 300cm of 0.036' captube ?

whats your superheat on the 2nd stage?
i think you have to shorten captube again.
your temperature difference between idle and "only" 260watts is a bit huge.

hey guys,

shortened the captube with 10cm so i have now 2.9meter, i was testing and the rotary went down because he was running to hot. need to install a extra fan i suppose.

i was waiting to cool down but i forgot the heatload ... after a while a colleague come to say there was smoke ... minimal damage but it sux ! need to fix a thermal safety device ...

He asked if it's possible to build a 3 stage ... Where i work we have R14 unused so it could be done... w'll see

Yeah he asked if it was possible to make a 3 stage, we have all gasses available @ work but i am not sure... it's not that easy
