I'll more than likely be able to throw a new system on the 'grid by the 11/1; sure would aid my purchase decision if a certain someone could post some data on a certain recently introduced CPU's WCG performance...

I put them on a full week before SC week. It takes a few days for systems to 'warm up' and start crunching to their full potential. Plus it gives you bonus time to fix any issues in your farm.

But we all do what we can, when can and how we can. Keep up the good work!

I'll see about getting an extra box or two fired up. Can't promise they'll be anything spectacular, but it'll be a little bit more than the usual.

Make sure it's running at 100% processor usage 100% of the time even when computer is in use.

Then just give it a few days for the validation process.

24 hour prime stable? Please, I'm 24/7/365 WCG stable!

I've been offline for a little over a month for a power saving experiment but I'm coming back up slowly. Unfortunately, I don't think the Q6600 in my main rig is gonna last much longer because it won't even overclock to 3ghz anymore. So I'll be giving it my all at stock until I can decide to end my hardware wait (it never ends it seems! always waiting for the next thing). Pretty proud of my Q6600 so far though. 24/7 crunching for the most part of at least 4 years (most of it @ 3.6ghz on air with higher temps than I'd like). But anyways, I'm in, as always, for super computer week.

I will and the issue has been a part that was supposed to be sent to me last Monday actually shipped Friday at 6pm and will be here tomorrow.
This was beyond my control and a honest mistake on the other end.
Yea, it killed my plans but it was a honest mistake..

not good enough...we need answers J/K would be nice to know if it would be a worthwhile purchase, but I am thinking efficiency is not good enough.
I am not interested in another Sb right now either, but would love to buy a new toy.

Still have my VM standing by to make use of some of the excess power from my ESXi box (can't dual boot since there are some production machines on it).
Besides that I hope to have a new mobo for my main rig so I can make it crunch harder than its current 4ghz (I know, its sucks, but I need to pay the power bill - have had it at 4.7 ghz when testing so I hope to be able to match that atleast)

    Main Rig:
    - i7 2600k + Noctua NH-C14 - GTX 570
    - 16 GB RAM - Gigabyte GA-Z68X-UD3H-B3
    - 1x 256GB Corsair Performance Pro SSD
    - 1x 256GB Samsung 830 SSD

I'd say if you can get a 2600k jump on it, but if you're looking 2500 it might be better to wait and see... i don't know about e3...
