questions about building an fx build

1 any one know where to find and 8150 in stock?

2 whats the best mb to use, i read all this stuff how the Asus boards are under performing, the gig ones cant tun off cores and are throttling the cores, but run faster then the Asus ones. so if i was going build a rig today whats the best board to buy? goign be running 3 6950s in cf so good pice spacing would be nice to.

    1. Try google shopping

    2. The ASRock 990fx boards seem to perform very well from what we've seen so far ... im sure the ASUS and GB issues can be fixed with a BIOS patch though, sooner or later!
    Don't worry guys, i'm s**t at games but I have 500fps!

Pretty much all the first stock is now sold out, youll have to wait for the next batch to ship from AMD.

Go with an ASRock 990FX board, it will perform the best and have the most options. At least until ASUS and Gigabyte do their bios updates, but who knows how long that will be
    Rig 1:
    ASUS P8Z77-V
    Intel i5 3570K @ 4.75GHz
    16GB of Team Xtreme DDR-2666 RAM (11-13-13-35-2T)
    Nvidia GTX 670 4GB SLI

    Rig 2:
    Asus Sabertooth 990FX
    AMD FX-8350 @ 5.6GHz
    16GB of Mushkin DDR-1866 RAM (8-9-8-26-1T)
AMD 6950 with 6970 bios flash

Yamakasi Catleap 2B overclocked to 120Hz refresh rate
    Audio-GD FUN DAC unit w/ AD797BRZ opamps
Sennheiser PC350 headset w/ hero mod

An 8150 already uses a lot of power and gets hot, and 8120 is the same as the top end but has even higher power consumption and thus is sold slower so it fits the TDP range. Therefore 8120 wont overclock as well on average, and you need as high an overclock as you can get.
