AMD FX "Bulldozer" Review - (1) Gaming

Hi. It's almost a newbie on this forum. Please excuse about my rough English since it's a foreign language for me.
Anyway, I'm about to show off everything I got about the FX processor - Bulldozer, Zambezi, Orochi... whatever it'd be called. Just enjoy!

▲ conceptual die scheme of Thuban and Bulldozer. It's more likely a quad-core processor.

▲ Generally speaking, gaming performance is not more than poor. Sometime it's even defeated by its predecessor Thuban 1100T.

Next posting is about synthetic tests. Stay tuned!

4.7GHz is just adaquate (at least to me) for 24/7 running.

Is that 1333 Mem @ 9-9-9? Why so low?
Also did you OC the IMC at all?

Granted, it doesn't look all that good, but a little more tweaking would surely improve those numbers...

Oh I got your point I realized that I haven't mentioned about test setup (which I described in my original post )

Memory is set to 1866MHz CL9 and IMC is OCed 2.6GHz whereas its default is 2.2GHz.
Note that Bulldozer's NB is extremely hard to OC. Don't know why but I guess it's because of its huge cache.

For some reason, XS's new software shrinks the pics...
On my machine it looks like the Mem is @ 666 (1333).

I guess it could just be a CPU-z bug too.

    Thanks for your work man...

Ya, Image Zoom Firefox addon does not work anymore either. It just stretches the pic vertically.

Awesome work DG. Very well done. This is how a review should look. I dont need words to explain a basic graph to me. Can you also check on memory performance? I see a good IMC on the Llano...is it as good on the BD?

Thanks for the effort and yup, I think I will hang on to my old PII 1090T for a while longer...BD makes absolutely no sense to me. Come on AMD, your 5 year old processor tech has better single threaded performance than your latest....quadruple face palm...

And whats with the superb power consumption.....

Looks like JF AMD is not going to be around for a while....

    This AMD fan is done..
