    Well, there is one more field BD is certainly a winner on: HPC&supercomputers. Did you hear of Cray's new Titan to rule them all with its up to 20 PFLOPS?
    HW FMA can bring many times of performance to the table compared to SW emulation (the latter having a cost in power consumption, as well).
    (Intel is going to have FMA by 2012/2013 only.)
