In multithreads is FX not bad...We need to wait for next benchmarks and reviews. Of course, pure single thread performance looks not good, but some John user runing superpi 1M every day at new PC? No, its very old benchamrk and doesnt mean nothing about real performance. IS good only for comparsion simillary CPU architecture. Il like review with Maxon studio rendering, 3DsMax, Adobe Photoshop, Excel etc-real aplications!
But is my meaning with Zambezi si something wrong in pure performance per core (maybe bug between caches?).

WTF? Its joke? Noone playing in this resolution today, and no, CPU performance in games with this resolution is not important! 1680x1050 or more....

2600K? Put a 1100T instead of 2600K and look how 8150 does against it ( read: not much better).

    It's a preview not a review.
Anyway, much, much better than some 640*480 silly debates few days ago.

CPU scaling is more obvious at low resolutions since there is no GPU bottleneck.

All right. Enough waiting, time to buy Intel. Sorry AMD!

Unless... could you do a proper encoding test using x264 instead? MeGUI might help, but you probably need to learn a little of AviSynth.

EDIT: Changed my mind. I can wait another 3 days for other reviews out there on the internet.

They never signed NDA, and if you look back, they announced a couple of nVidia graphics cards during CeBIT 2011, before anyone else did, Lab501 squeezes the limit, serves the readers, not the companies, they got the size and influence that allows them doing so, they are the media we have wanted for a long time

And I wouldnt care less if they break a NDA, nor should you, or anyone else except THEMSELF and the COMPANY - frankly it is NONE of OUR business

seems to give these benches some more substantiation in the lower arithmetic scores... but i m not seeing the SIMD improvement from these benches.

How does it run in terms of virtualization...

Why are you telling me these Marc? I already know it, I fully support lab501. My comment was meant to be a good one, I never criticized them

It looks like a BIOS problem to me.

When the first SB-E numbers came out and the performance was worse than SB and the power consumption was unmanageable.... there weren't 4 pages of "OMG boo-hoo i'm gonna buy AMD"

I'm not gonna write off BD based on this. I trust the 501 team and I trust they got the right numbers for the hardware and firmware they had. Just needs a few tweaks

Wow seems AMD pulled its own P4 there... an interesting architecture that does well on optimized workloads but sucks balls on everything else... I had a bad feeling about when it was clear that amd has gone for a "speed racer desgin".... I hoped it wouldn't turn out like a P4...

wth 5ghz ”8” core processor and 2,2g nb?!? Mem bandwith is what it needs, i guess and maybe win 7 can't share the resources. Amd should delay the launch more...

I sure hope there's still some room for improvements. I don't really need an upgrade, but I would like to build a new rig with AMD processor, mb chipset and gfx.
Notice any grammar or spelling mistakes? Feel free to correct me! Thanks

I'm still skeptical. If they didn't sign the NDA, where is this CPU coming from?
