AMD’s first Water Cooling Set for its upcoming Bulldozer FX Processors has been exposed. The four leaked shots of the set show Packaging and a detailed look at the Water Cooling set.

It was revealed a few months ago that AMD might consider shipping stock liquid cooling solutions with its High End FX 8Core Bulldozer lineup (Details here). Looks like the reports were true, The Kit is shipped individually inside a huge carton packaging bearing the AMD FX Unlocked Logo. Side of the packaging lists some key features of the Kit:

Easy – Bend Tubes for Maximum Flexibilty
Quiet, High Performance Pulse Width Modulation
    Brilliant, Customizable RGBLED
    Custom Fan Speed Control Hardware

Why reinvent the wheel? I don't think Corsair's H70 was developed by Corsair either... Probably same manufacturer?

OK so I wonder if you'll be able to get one with a standard air cooler or maybe bare chip. You know, for those of us who already have a full-blown water cooling solution and don't want to pay the extra for the boxed unit to sit around and do nothing.

it is 2x the cores and cashe and higher clocked than the desktop class chip (socket fm1), and its for a high clocked chip, its nice that they officially support a good cooler for people who dont want a 100db air POS as an option, and since its liquid its a selling point for OEMs as apparently liquid is magic.

there was a price list already, the 8 core was going to be $280 so if this is included i doubt it would be that price. its just a part for the OEMs or people who want a cooler, and its safe to ship one of those installed in a case were a giant air cooler is not. that is also a different box than the other one that was shown.

Yikes, combined with the performance shown in Monstru preview. This has netburst written all over it, if this is the stock cooling and with the combined 250 dollar price tag, this has financial catastrophe written all over it.

The performance needs to be better so that it can justify a higher price as a result. This is the only way stock water cooling can be viable as a stock solution water cooling. 250 is too low a price to make any money, combined with the size of the chip.

You would think this would be caught by engineering.. it makes zero sense they would release an architecture that is out performed by the previous generation. After a scrap and redesign already.
