With a belt buckle, now that's quite unique. Is that some sort of press kit or does it go on sale ? Seems like a pretty well done marketing there. If only it were a return of the K8 era people would be fighting for them. Well we can still wish.

    Totally photoshoped!

Seriously though, blinging container. I like how AMD does PR, we had pictures of these months ago but little to nothing on the cpus themselves. It's like "Hey guys we have no info for you but look at these bad ass processor tin boxes!" Quite amusing. At least they are something practical that you can keep and use, not just another box to throw out.

Seen that pic throw around before. But this is the first time I hear anything about it being bundled with the CPU. Awesome if true, but I just find it highly unlikely...?

It's almost as large as the cpubox, and it is curved, I think it is a belt buckle.

How do you know it is a review package ? As I recall Anand usually got cpus in some plain plastic boxes.

No, in the leaks I read they claim it will launch later than the 125W models.

Well, unless AMD have started to bundle their CPU's with motherboards, or Asus have started to bundle their boards with CPU's, I think its pretty safe to say its a promo/review package
Just as they've done with previous launches, high end Asus board paired with AMD CPU. Sent out for reviews, competition prizes, advanced users etc as promo.

lets all not forget that this is the return of the FX name, hopefully this means they offer some cool things like this bundle package.

Isn't it a bit too expensive of a package when it comes to price/performance oriented chip?
Or is that a limited edition?
