any mythtv and xbmc + mythbox users lurking

I started playing with xbmc in a VM. I recall people saying xbmc was suitable for lighter weight computers, but man did it ever choke the VM.

I was thinking of setting up a mythtv backend and then using an xbmc frontend with the mythbox addon. I am curious what people's thoughts were.

building my AV setup as we speak, this winter will be quite a busy time.

xbmc is nice and clean, however it needs decent gfx card performance for its interface to be responsive. Perhaps that why it sucked in the VM.

I used it as a mythtv frontend and it worked ok, I did not use it for very long. perhaps that an indication that I did not think it was so great LOL.
