    Thumbs up New single-stager for Moonman's 2600K

I haven't built anything in a while so this was kind of refreshing. Yesterday was a crappy day for mountaineering therefore I've decided to build a cooler for my old buddy Moonman which I promised him a week ago. It's built for Sandy Bridge CPU, albeit it's a bit of a overkill but I'm pretty sure he'll find other purposes for the unit Unit also encorporates hi-side/low-side bypass (ball valve) in order to bypass the cold boot bug issues of his CPUs. The valve also enables quick restart of the unit as the unit reaches equilibrium almost instantly.

    Components:
    - Tecumseh RK5512E 9400btu/h R-22 rotary compressor 220Vac
    - 0.94kW condenser
    - 10W motor EBM Papst + 230mm fan blade
    - Littledevil CPU evap (complete lineset 1m /w 2.3m 0.9mm cap)
    - 30g filter/drier
    - MDF wooden base plate 350x500x22mm
    - 4x industrial rollers fi55 /w brake
    - 2x coffee (2dcL)

I had no R-22 lying around therefore I charged 20% cooking gas (liquid phase) and 80% R-507.

    Start at 10AM:

    Continuing after lunch:

    The cooler brazed together:

    Vacuuming and electrical wiring:

    First charge:

    First ice :

    Unit finished at 6.30PM:

I'll be load testing next weekend

    Best OC Regards,
    Niko

Say what you want, but wheels are not a common feature on single stages!

Nice build tiborrr. I would like to know though how you could have done a thorough evac including the build in 8 and a half hours ?

Thanks for all the kind words fellas! Yeah, the wheelis makes for a nice skateboard

Vacuuming from the low side and the high side and an open bypass valve. The evac was practically reached within couple of minutes but I've left it for half an hour. Note this was a new system, no refrigerant soaked in the oil yet.

Looking nice I'm still jealous of what you Europeans are able to acquire for condensers. I've given up on sourcing individual condensers like a luve condenser from the suppliers in the US.
