This is really exciting to be honest.

I don't play favorites, I just buy what's good. That said, this is like the Athlon x2 / Pentium 4/D era competition.

I don't even need to replace my 2600k, but I want a BD chip even more now!
    You must [not] advance.

Its looking good for "pliability" if you ask me. Definitely awesome to see a record with AMD attached, and hopefully it sticks for a while.

This is why I remain optimistic about BD. I won't be swayed by "leaked pricing" until I see real results....... (like these).

    Bravo.

An overclock like this is so awesome but for Guinness to give a WR recognized as a 8-core processor overclocked is misleading. The majority of people will be like...omfg a 8ghz 8-core AMD when it is really an 8-core running on 2 core amd.

Actually, its a collection of modules containing two cores each. So, an 8 core Bulldozer has 4 modules, each containing 2 cores.

Unfortunately the NDA expiration date is under NDA until the NDA expires. No one is allowed to say when the NDA expires before it does.

give them some freaking credit. Brian, Macci, Aaron and Simon not just to beating the wr but imo the best thing that has happened to AMD cpu since the A64 clawhammer days. It's unbelievable!

Standard practice for Hz goals, get over it.

However this kinda reminds me of the old FX days when Intel was going after Hz while AMD went for performance per cycle but this time its reversed Itll be interesting for sure what the outcome will be this time.

Really need more info on Bulldozer, I hate how we are kept in the dark, please AMD, release this ASAP.

Nice work on the overclock, I wonder if anybody will break the 9Ghz barrier soon.

Please read what I typed before you tell me to get over it. In the OC community, even the lack I know of it understands how records are run. I am just saying for a corporation like Guinness Book of World Records to acknowledge it as an 8-core processor OC'd at this speed is completely false and misleading to the general public.
If you can't comprehend that, then you need to go back to school and get edumacated( and yes this was mis-spelled on purpose strawboy).
