    [der8auer] Raptor GPU-Container

    der8auer Raptor GPU-Pot:




    Details:
    • Solid Copper LN2/DICE Container with Aluminium-top
    • Polished contact surface
    • High surface structure with 2x18mm and 4x10mm drilling
    • Universal mounting for all popular cards (58-86mm diagonal)
    • Black POM-Backplate for equal weight distribution
    • Hole for exact temperature measurement behind GPU contact area
    • Dimension Container: 80x40x150mm
    • Weight: 1850g
    • 2-Way SLI/CF capable

    I don't get it The backplate is made of POM - not alu.

    pom has higher melting point. it very resilient. hairdryer won't melt it.

    alu won't even help if you insulate the alu backplate from the capacitors..otherwise itd be shorting stuff..

    I guarantee that it wont melt with a normal hairdryer. It wont even deform as you need around 200°C (~400°F) for that.

    Plus the thermal conductivity of POM is much lower so you won't have that much ice there.

    Larger backplates are also possible. I just need to know what exactly you'd like to have.
