What does corsair replace dead hypers with?

Just wondering... it's been a couple of years since the recall, but once one set finally dies (8-8-8 2000MHz mnh-e) after a few years, what does corsair usually replace it with? What specific modules?

IIRC corsair is suppose to replace it with something comparable or better.

    just curious

they would give u some 2133 kit im guessing, they are relatively plentiful and there is not the problem as there was before when every good chip went EOL at the same time like a year or 2 ago.

i don't think i see any 2133 speed ram except one listed on the corsair store

this is only one.. which seems priced a bit higher than what i originally paid for: http://www.corsair.com/memory/intel-...m2a2133c9.html

4gb density modules @2133MHz 9-11-9 with 1.5v?? smells like psc (well i hope these don't die.. fingers crossed)

Yep, psc bandwagon. They won't die, tho not the most favored choice compared to Hypers, but I think their overall reliability is a tad higher.

I dont know about easy to deal with...I'm currently in a mess with corsairs RMA department right now and the saga is still going. My hypers failed and they're trying to push some crappy Vengence set on me! Its really starting to tarnish my faith in Corsair. How in the world do you think that replacing a 400 dollar set of ram with some low ends is a great replacement blows my mind...
