    what happened?

    Hi guys, long time no see-

    need a little help, for some odd reason after a windows update my HDD doesnt load on start up I have to select what I want to load- I can not for the life of me remember what the settings are in the BIOS, to load just the single sata drive containing the OS.

    What is in the list on BOOT? Have you plugged in any other bootable media? There are two things in BIOS you are looking for:

    Boot Order and Disk Preference, the first selects where you want to boot from first, hard disk, CD ect. The second lets you choose which hard disk boots first, usually the number displayed has some value which matches the physical drive size so check for that. If you're still stuck then pick each one and test...until you find the correct volume containing your OS.
