    FIC AMD64 MoBo, any thoughts

    Just wondering how many out there are having any luck, besides myself, (so far), with an FIC K8-800T Motherboard.

    Recieved MB, AMD 64-3200 and a HS/fan. Big problem was no Cooler holder for the MB, least I thought so. Two holes on each side of the CPU, meant to mount the frame I bet, gave me an idea.

    I just happen to have some heavy duty zip-strip wireties available, 1/4 inch wide. Put one through both holes, removed the fan from the HS. Used another tie and used it through the middle of the HS, tightened it snug, and replaced the fan. (also removed the spring clip from it.)

    After reading a lot of the threads here and elsewhere, I guess it ain't so bad the way it is.

    Here are some of the settings, readings, and bench results:

    FSB 220Mhz, AGP @ 74Mhz, PCI @ 44Mhz.

    Memory running at 200, 400 effective. (as high as Bios allows)

    Vcore at 1.5v Agp at 1.6v Memory at 2.6v.

    Video Card running GPU at 400Mhz, Memory At 350Mhz
    (OC'd via 3D Rage)

    CPU running at 2200 Mhz (3400 speed)

    Aquamark3 = 45000 score
    3dMark2001se = 21000
    3dmark2003 = @6200
    (rounded down scores)

    System will normally run at 21-22C CPU temp.
    After a run of any of the Benches 22-25 C. CPU temp
    Have not seen higher then 25C

    Temps measured by Sisoft Sandra and by shutdown and Bios readings checked.

    System has been running full on stable at these settings for nearly the two weeks I've owned it, (actually Upgraded from ECS K7S5A Pro w/XP2000@2100).

    Looking forward to a new BIOS revision that will allow me to run the memory at it's full potential, 500Mhz, and other tweaks.

    PCI seems a little high. My best is it's actually running at 37 mhz. 44mhz would mean it's only using a 1/5 PCI divider.

    Hey Thanks for the quick reply. I did remember the AGP at @ 74.
    Guessed at the PCI.

    After reading your post I shut down and checked the Bios. 73.6 AGP and 36.6 PCI
