    Quiet CPU block?

    Hi All,

Is there any CPU block that is more quiet than an Apogee XT?
I previously had a FuZion v2 and that thing was LOUD. The Apogee XT is better, but still seems to have some noise coming off it when mounted.

My loop is fully bled, running on an undervolted DDC3.2.

    Thanks.

Blocks don't make noise unless you have bubbles.
All stock for now, no need for more, but it's gonna be soon methinks.

Agreed. It shouldn't make any noise if fully bled.

I had one CPU block from.....koolance i think, not 100% sure but anways, it was loud cpu block and sounded like popcorn. Turns out when I took it apart and opened it up, the water block was all one metal piece on the inside and had slices making it look like an inverted waffle and little metal shards were still inside swirling around and hitting the cpu block. The thing was a cheap p.o.s.

sometimes you get metal shards from other parts of the loop as well. I've had metal shards come out of a radiator, which I suspect were from tapping the threads or something related to it.

I've also had air bubbles in my loop. the air actually makes more noise.
