    crunching rig lagging

Hi guys, been a while since i've posted around here. Over the past couple weeks, my pc has been acting up. It has been crunching 24/7 pretty much for the past 3 years (overclocked to at least 3.4ghz but never over 45°C) and lately while crunching and doing basic stuff (web browsing and watching a video) responses have been slow. Also, I have been getting program not responding messages if I try to pause a video or even change tabs in my web browser. I stopped running WCG for a couple days and it seemed to act normal again.

I've checked the ram yesterday and it passed 3 passes of mem test.
I checked the hard drive with Western Digitals diagnostics program and that passed too but i'm not putting a lot of faith in their test, it has let me down in the past.

Could my processor be dying or some other component?
I'm currently running Orthos (4.5 hours in), on the web and watching a video without issue.

Is SSD worth spending 8 times more money on to replace the drive?

    What projects are you running?

I don't have any lagging really on my main rig, but for some reason certain webpages lag on my i7

I don't think so, and as far as I know it doesn't increase PPD.

Sparky, I am running HCC and FAAH

just got a BSOD. I'm not sure if this helps me any. It says that there was an issue with a process/thread which could mean processor but on the other hand, I did get a stop error which is a result of Winblows trying to save itself so it could be the hard drive Haven't had a chance to look up the error, just got home and time for bed.
