    Cool core/thread..'randomizer'?

so I FINALLY upgraded my main rig.. I was using anything thing from a s478 P4, s939 DC or my C2D laptop.. now I have 32nm Xeon in a X58 Sabertooth

soooo I guess I should start crunching again

I was thinking.. instead of 'punishing' the same core(s)/thread(s)/logical processor(s), is there an inbuilt feature in WCG that can randomly choose which core(s) to use & also change that after a specified time?

You can change up the "application" (HCC, HPF2, etc.) at intervals you set (in minutes) in advanced view, advanced, preferences, processor usage. There you can also change "on multiprocessor systems, use at most X% of the processors," where you can change X. I don't know of any way to change which core is used by a specific app. Someone else probably knows more than me though.

Punish those naughty cores. All of them, all the time.

You can set the cpu time aswell. So you can set it to use xx% of cores for only xx% of the time.
So you can stress all cores then, but for less % of the time.

Not sure how it works, but I noticed this setting a while back.
Just using 100% of cores 100% of the time is the optimum ofc
