I like the look of them and they will probably net a better temp, they are running in parallel so the flow is probably no better than a single block.
Ram temps dont matter too much though, the ram does get warm without them but I wouldnt say hot. At least not at the clocks Im running them at.
After degrading my 990x and getting lucky with an RMA with Intel, when I get the new CPU next week I wont be doing anymore 2200Mhz 1.8v runs on the ram!

Thanks mate, yes certainly a lot of planning, and a lot more time than I would have liked. I still have a few things left to do too..
Still havent made the long USB cable for the controller yet and a couple other cables, and I still need to terminate all the sensors and wire up the water level meters.

Im having a break from it and enjoying the first gaming Ive been able to do for a couple months since I started the rebuild/upgrade.

    IL2 COD 6030x1080 Nvidia 2D Surround - Hurri's vs BF110's

4way SLI GPUs all maxed at 99% avg 30FPS - This game still needs heaps of optimisation and the developers have promised a minimum 50% performance improvement with the next patch. I used to get 60FPS with eyefinity quad 5870s with an earlier beta that used xfire/sli properly.

My brand new Intel 990X replacement arrived today so I can finally do some real benchmarks tonight!

I have put up a place holder for my new website and am learning to code and build a Joomla! site with dreamweaver and the Adobe creative suite. I've got a shopping cart system setup too.. Man what a learning curve dynamic PHP websites are compared to my first website, I was building static sites 10 years ago and this is a lot more complicated now content is seperate from structure and presentation! This might take a while! I'll do a build story on a new wordpress blog to start just to get some ideas because its easier and faster to see results! I might even look at Drupal too since it's a bit more advanced than Wordpress but not as complicated as Joomla!

Im pretty impressed with this 990X chip!

Here's stock settings under prime95. Ambient room temp 26c.

Here's the max OC with stock volts and vdroop Level 2 turned on.

Here's what's really impressive.. I beat my old best score with a lower CPU 990x OC of only 4.8Ghz and the GPUs only 50Mhz more than the last best score. Thats with all 24GB running at 1600Mhz 8-8-8-24 1T...

Voltages are 1.48V CPU and 1.66V Dram. (DRAM reporting 1.63v)

    Time for a Vantage run!

Vantage not quite as close since it's more CPU skewed.
    But still pretty close!

Assuming 90% efficiency I believe around 2300W with everything at max load. We are on 240V here in OZ so that gives us up to 2400W from a standard wall socket.

~350W per GPU and ~400W for the CPU add another ~300W for accessories (pumps/fans) and for MB chipset. = ~2100 /.9 = 2300W

There's not much around other than OCCT PSU test that can push everything that hard at the same time though! So normal use I would expect 1500W used for 1666W at the wall.
I'll get a couple of plug in power meters and measure it properly because Im interested myself!

Bloody hell, with my setup at normal use i pull 400w from the wall. And 800w running unigine and prime95.

I just bought a $20 wall adapter from woolies to see what i was using, even showed me the cost. And being in a old queenslander, i cant play games and boil the kettle at the same time or i overload the house and trip the curcuit breaker.

Here's my best result at 5Ghz so far.

Still have a bit more tweaking to do but this looks like the best I can do till I get a bit more voltage into the GPUs.

    3DMark Score P20670
    Graphics Score 27595
    Physics Score 12532
    Combined Score 10835
