    Rally the troops!

Whoa... I go on Hiatus for 3 months and return to an empty team... Where'd everybody go?!?!

I mean we're getting dominated! We're at 1/4 of our normal production and only have 1/3 the production of the top team. If we don't fix this quick the Czech aren't gonna slow down!

I'm back full blast for the foreseeable future... I'll have to cut out for 3 more days to move back to college but then it's 100% from there till new cards come out.

I understand that finances and heat play a major part in this, and those that cannot contribute - I thank you for what you've already done and look forward to seeing y'all back when things improve. For the rest of you - strap up, we've got diseases to kill!

Just a census - How many people do we have in the northern and southern hemispheres? We need to start another supercomputing week to drum up support and I'm trying to figure out if we should do that now or wait for winter in the north.

Reporting in from the northern hemisphere ... I may be only be able to crunch during the evenings when it's much cooler.

@Evantaur - if you change your preferences on GPUGrid to Long tasks only you will see your RAC jump substantially

Werdwerdus is going to get shoved down a notch in the overall pie tonight unless he starts cruching again

I will be back with a vengeance come Fall i promise you that!

I would at least run a GT240 but they decided not to support it.

    http://www.gpugrid.net/prefs.php?subset=project
then click on "Edit GPUGRID preferences" and make sure that the only box with a check mark in it says "ACEMD for long runs (8-12 hours on fastest GPU)"

Have you tried it lately for running only *short* tasks?
Just because it is not on their "recommeneded" list does mean they won't let you try!
Let us know your OS and we can help you to get it running quickly enough to return before the WU's deadline (5 days)

Definitely! Just keeping a steady stream of visitors to this page helps. When it gets lonely people tend to start slacking. (myself included)

Thanks for updating everything Steve, you da man.

just noticed something else ... turn your cache size down ... you are missing out on "quick turnaround" bonus multiplier.
You want to finish and report the WU back within 24 hours of it being sent to you for an extra 25% points.

Doesn't GPUGrid give you 2 WUs per GPU regardless of your cache size or have they changed that?

The key is that it is 2 MAX per GPU

I use Win 7 64, Nvidia 266.58 and Boinc 6.10.60 I just assumed it didn't work at all by now, i remember the forums crawling with people whining the card was no longer supported and the mod pretty much told them "TS we're moving on to real cards" which i have (GTX460) but it's too darn hot to run that mofo.

I believe I am averaging approx 14-15k ppd on the 240; that is with short & long wu's. I changed to long wu's only, will see how that goes. I will also try just short wu's there afer and see what yields better results.

Ok i'm back! It's kinda overcast and cooled off recently so this might actually be needed to cozy up the place at night.
How would we set it up to run short or long WU? GPUgrid site?

This freakin thing is saying i have on Nvidia GPU.........wtf, let me update the drivers.

You mean it says you have no Nvidia GPU; typo?

If that's the case, then you'll have to reinstall BOINC.
During installation, uncheck "protected application execution."

    That should work.

You can close BOINC Manager and then he won't see anything to close
Make sure you don't check the box that says "Stop running..." in the dialog that pops when you close BOINC Manager.
