    Thanks for clearing that up. I have a different FW to test on the V4, and I would like to have a log if the same thing happens again, hence I asked. It isn't a matter of life and death here, so take your time and make it right. When it's done, it's done.

    Regards,

    The "TRIM-trigger" needs some explanation.

    To put it simply, it works more or less like the TRIM function found in Intel SSD Toolbox.

    However, unlike the Intel Toolbox it can be used on all drives, it won't work on all drives though!

    It won't work unless TRIM is working on the drive.
    It won't work if the drive does not respond to the "normal" way of triggering TRIM.

    It works in just seconds.
    The time it takes for the drive to do the actual cleaning varies between drives. (from seconds and up...)

    Here's an example of before and after TRIMming my Endurance drive.

    After

    Looks like the Samsung was worth the wait

    It's just that Marvell controller that is holding it a bit back, all in all it looks great.

    Looks like Win7 was doing something and can influence the bench:

    There will always be some variations on SSD benchmarks!
    Having a raid controller usually masks some of the variations but SSDs just aren't performing 100% consistently.

    SSDs are very different from HDDs in this regard.

    Arctucas

    Looks like your previous benchmark was set for 0-Fill (easily compressible data)

    If you are running drives based on the SF controller that would be whats changes the score, you can change the Compression setting in Settings.

    There is no change to the scoring system.

    @Anvil,

    I just noticed that.

    Anyway, I went back to RST 11.1.0.1006, and got a better result:

    I wil give the RST 11.5.9.1149 a run with 0-fill.

    EDIT: RST 11.5.0.1149 0-Fill:

    It appears the new RST does affect the benchmark significantly, no?

    @Cristopher,

    No, 4x 64GB SSD with SF 1222 (SATA II).

    Hi

    Yes, you can post suggestions here.

    As a matter of fact I'm working on an alternate theme with more "Metro" friendly/-like colors, I'll post a few screenshots when I'm ready.

    Are you talking about a high contrast theme for the visually impaired?

    thank you

    i'm talking about the high contrast scheme for accessibility, i use a black/white scheme
    and some elements are not viewable (such as settings page) or hard to read (light gray label
    on dark grey background ..)

    ii know are just little things, but it's important for partially sighted person (like me)
