    Making Custom Thermochill Fan Shroud

    Ello!

Need a bit of help, wanna try to make custom shroud for TC PA 120.3 out of acryl and need some measures. Well, one of them.
Can anyone please tell me what's the height of it measured from the flat surface where fans are placed to the flat surface/edge where they should be placed without it when attached directly to a rad?

Also, I'm wondering is the shroud's height ie. distance from rad fins really optimal or is there any test that shows some other optimal distance from rad fins?

Will use Scythe GTs ofc as I see ppl mostly recommend those.

    Thanks for the help!

PS. Found a thread around here about TC with/without a shroud test, and really can't make up my mind... is it worth making one at all and using it? Was also thinking on making two of those for push+pull config for a future upgrade. Any thoughts on that would be appreciated.

I would just use gutted 120mm fans for a shroud, just as effective. The point of the shroud is to focus the fan better and either way will work. I think Martin did a review of both with and without a shroud to see what the benefits were.

Yeah mate, I was thinking about that but I'm eager to try my modding skills at this and do it right if I can. But not throwing away that idea either. Anyone, please?
