    HyperX benching: 1450MHz cas6, 1541MHz cas7 & 1563MHz cas8

    Following our score at GamesCom almost 1 year ago Benji Tshi and I decided to retry some memory maxscreen action.



    This is what we achieved during the week-end:

    Hardware:

    I7 870 (batch L930B512)
    Gigabyte P55 UD6C (bios F10)
    DDR3-2544 dual kit (KHX2544C9D3T1FK2/2GX)
    Kingpin Dominance cooler (yes a proper memory pot ! )

    vtt: from 1,58 to 1,66v
    vdimm: from 1,88 to 1,94v

    we are almost sure the cas 7 is a new worl record.

    we couldn't match Hiwa cas 8 score.

    and for the cas 6 we are still looking for higher scores but we can't find anything.

    Nicely done!

    Is that memory pot just "sitting" on the modules, or did you mount it somehow?

    I know that it is designed to be mounted (bolted) on Corsair modules, but it can be used on others by simply placing it on top (if I recall the info correctly).

    I'm just curious as to how you did it.

    the chips are Elpida BDBG and they are quite like PSC at one point it doesn't scale anymore.

    the memory was not limiting use, it was more a cpu problem (bclk limitation).

    we used Dominator radiators hold together with tape (because on the original modules they are glued).

    and because the UD6C has a weird slot layout (6 slots) we could only screw the pot on one module.

    The main problem is 210 bclk on 1155 platform while the actual WR is around 111 if i'm right
