[lab501.ro] 6 x WR with MSI R6970 Lightning @ 1360MHz GPU

After playing for some time now with N580GTX Lightning, I decided to play with the R6970 Lightning. Benching the GTX580 (especially without IHS) helps a lot improve benching skills so I took it slow and the results didn't stop coming .

Bench platform:

Core i5 2500k on SS
ASUS Maximus IV Extreme (B3)
2 x 2GB Corsair Dominator 1333MHz (Elpida Hyper)
VelociRaptor 80GB
Corsair AX1200

Setting used:

Temperature: -85 C
Voltage (GPU / MEM / AUX): 1.55v / 1.8v / 1.2v

• WR 3DMark 2006 -> 38571

• WR 3DMark 2011 -> 8211

Excellent VGA, very easy to bench and the GPU is really factory binned (Vantage @ 1070MHz GPU @ 1.4v on air).

I hate 480 lightning, for me it doesn't work simply But 5870 lightning were very good

Some referent cards don't have CB, some have at - 15*C etc... I think it's just a gpu, one is coldbugged, other not...

No tricks needed, just all the switches on the back on. Try setting in Afterburner "Force constant voltage" to have same voltage in 2D and 3D and also setting the memory +100mv to avoid freezing
