    Half-frame slide or film projector?

I think you are stuck with ebay for purchasing. The real problem is that no one makes them anymore so you would be better off converting the film to digital. May I ask what you are trying to do?

I plan on hosting a silent film night at my local theatre. I try to be as authentic as possible, so I want to use a 16mm film projector.

Gotcha. So it just has to last one night? Then go on ebay and buy a Ben & Howell. Those things don't break. Pawn shops might have something for you too.

Thats why I recommend the B&H ones. They were the best built. The well taken care of ones are stuffed away in old ladys' closets. Look at craigs list, ebay, and pawn shops.
