    Core i7 920 Overclock

Im not sure if there is a sticky or an existing thread with all the core i7 overclocks, but I thought I would contribute my results:

    Core i7 920 @ 4.0Ghz with 1.30V (Vcore) and 1.250mV (VTT)

    Core i7 920 D0 Stepping (Coolermaster Hyper 212)
    EVGA X58 3-SLI (132-BL-E758-A1)
    Corsair XMS3 Dominator 6GB (8-8-8-24)
    Corsair 850HX
    Diamond HD 6970 2GB
    Windows 7 64-bit Ultimate

how about 1.21-1.24v vcore for 4.0ghz ? there are 2 pll you can drop down to 1.35v from 1.85v which will help you drop your vcore. Try upload/give a link to a full size image. You can drop your mem timings to 6-6-6-18-1T as well. your mobo not so good I would get e760 classified or EVGA X58 Classified3, some might say that asus is a better choice.

dude rusty what are you talking about? Not everyone has the hardware to OC to that kind of voltages/timings.

but yea rusty is right, resize that image b/c idk who can read it. your vcore isn't bad, but yea dropping your cpu pll a bit might help out with that or it could help drop your temps a few degrees but not anything more than that. PLL is very usful when going subzero.

I actually think 1.3 is ok for 4. Not great but not bad.

I do 4 at 1.275 just fine. CPU PLL dropped to 1.5 from 1.8. Didn't bother playing around anymore after that.
