This has been worrying me with Bulldozer too.
AMD has said numerous times that BD will have ~50% more throughput than Magny Cours.

This statement has already been taken wildly out of context with people then claiming BD will be 50% faster.
This clearly wasn't what AMD stated and I wonder how often this figure will be incorrectly bought up after launch and taken out of context once again.

It's a server statement that has no correlation to desktop at all.

dude if you don't know then stop gueesing and posting like facts, rumors are everywhere and one site link to another believe that that after a few internet posts it becomes true. Yields suck yeah right, do you actually know how long it takes for a runthrough and how they schedule new platforms? apparently not.....
BD Server launch was already known in April and has never changed, official launch date is existing, lots of people tend to mix information since it's all called BD....

It's funny though that it always takes Donanim site about 3-4 months to get some information from slides, but at that point in time its already outdated.

The delays and rumors aren't very confidence inspiring. But supposed insiders have been wrong before. It isn't worth getting worked up over since we will know for ourselves soon enough. Moderate your expectations and be patient, now isn't really the time to rage or gloat.

There is no need to be rude.As everyone here im guessing based on facts and previous situations. And AMD had bad yields with first hammers for example too, and guess what, it was delayed too.
If however you have some information than please share it with us.
If not i have same right to express as you.
BD IS delayed, thats a fact, and moreover its long overdue, and its pretty obvious AMD was targeting it to land much sooner.Current verified target of AMD is between beginning of august and beginning of september (60-90days), thats in worst case scenario few weeks from october. So yeah.Totally unbelievable.
You make it sound as if it wasnt conceivable for AMD to do BAD planning and BAD execution. While every player on the market has did it sooner or later. And most, many times.
Btw, poor yields would be logical reason for NOT moving server and delaying desktop.

clearly no idea about schedules... pls continue guessing on rumors and make them facts.
the only reason there was a general delay for 32nm soi was from the Global foundries delay, al the others are shift in priority and volume and volume doesn't mean always low yields btw.....

Now youre pulling stuff out of thin air, ive never stated them as facts, ive clearly said that IVE READ IT ON THE INTERWEBZ,and that its a LIKELY reason for a delay.

Well, volume is restricted by yields isnt it ? Of course theres also maximum capacity, even at 100% yields. But AMD knew long before how much capacity GF is going to have.On the yields however they could only guess.

Was going to clean up but I'll just permanently close the thread instead...bans inbound. When a public warning is given, listening to it is a really good idea.
