we did our little cookout yesterday (Sunday).
Pretty laid back; just some extended family grilling dogs and burgers,
with some produce from home gardens (tomatoes, okra, cucumbers, corn, melons, etc...) no fireworks, it was too dry from lack of rain.

Eh... its too bad very few people actually understand what the 4th actually means or what they're even celebrating. All most people think it is, is time off work and fireworks.
