Question for all you HWbot members!

Hey, I figured, why not try to get some points for XS!

I wanted opinions on what CPU I should bench.

I was thinking of getting a low end i3 for 1155. There's only a couple submissions (depending on what benchmarkt you are looking for) for the i3 2100 and 2120. I can't afford to kill the cpu, but I most certainly can push it. Also possibly an S or T version.

    Any input?

I'm also going to try with a GT430 video card.

I know it's not high end, high point stuff, but points help and I've love to have my name up there once.

    Will that actually net points?

I can't afford to degrade my chip (run it over 1.4v, I'm just not comfortable with that, lol) or kill/degrade my video cards (or any other hardware). I'll be more than happy to run benches which nearly unstable video card OC (they overvolt well ).

I agree with Hondacity, bench what you have. If you want to buy the 2100 anyway, please give it a try and push it as hard as you're feeling comfortable with.
Just run all the benchmarks to get some points!

If you want to run some 3D benchmarks focus on low-end or older cards off ebay, your 5GHz SB will be good enough for them and shouldn't be a bottleneck in any situation.

Agree with Hondacity, your current hardware is very solid.

The 8800 line are very good for points too.
