Smartphone as game controller

Did anyone tried similar app for let's say GTA 4 on PC ? I wonder about the possible delays or other quirks.

cool concept, assuming it's real.
i say concept because this would be terrible to use in reality.
as you said, delays. not to mention how uncomfortable it would be to use it for longer periods of time.
plus it would easily build up with sweat and be hard to hold.
and the battery would die very fast.

I play alot of SNES, Sega MegaDrive, PS emulators etc. and would love some sort of app for this. I currently use a Xbox 360 controller but I could very well get used to using a smartphone instead Would also be great the few times I am on a train, would meen I won't have to bang those keyboards.

^ How the hell is a smartphone a better controller than an actual controller? Granted, the stock xbox 360 controllers are garbage, but still orders of magnitude better than a phone.
