    Corsair HX850 or Corsair AX850...

    Hi guy's

I want to upgrade from corsair HX650 to a 850w model.

My specs: core i7 920 (do), evga x58 sli le, intel ssd 80gb, intel ssd 40gb, WD black 500gb, Mushkin Black 6gb 1600mhz, evga gtx 260 sc, 8 fans.
Watercooled the cpu and gpu, with a Aquastream XT pump.
Want to upgrade to either 2x gtx 460, maybe 2x gtx 570 or AMD 6970. And oc the cpu to 3.6ghz
I'm not willing to use the current psu to its limits i still want that "reserve" power just for stability.

The pro's of the AX850 dead silent if you are just browsing or idling fan spins when you are playing a game. So less dust build up in the psu since i'm not playing every day hardcore.
And the full modular specs are nice. But it had some issues with coil whine with the first batch true? Is this resolved?

HX850 cheaper abviously, many good reviews and silent, but not fully modular.

So what do you recommend me guy's
I'm also asking this because the AX sells for 40 euro more then the HX version if the AX is really that better il buy it nevertheless even if it means to skimp on a new game.
Main question is whats beter the AX of HX?
    Thanks in advance

I have the ax850 , ran my watercooled setups easily , i ran gtx460s in SLI , benching and gaming hardcore . Never had a whine or hiccup . Everything is nice and neat, modular, and good sleeving . Im sure all the components have been upgraded as well . DEF worth the money.

    I would take the HX850.

It's not worth the extra money just to have modular cabling.

    I have the HX850w running what's in my sig (570 sli & i7 2600K). I also have 3 scythe GT 120mm, 180mm silverstone, mcp655 pump. I think that's it. Nothing else worth mentioning.

On load it doesn't get hot. Either should be fine.

    What about this seasonic?

$92 for 850w is super for such a solid PSU. You wouldn't be worry w/ that purchase.
    You must [not] advance.

    Thanks for the help guy's

I found a site wich sells the AX850 a lot less then other online stores 152 euro (215,92 us dollar) the hx850 costs arround 140 euro (198,87 us dollar). Most of the stores sell the ax850 avarage between 168 (238,64 us dollar) and 190 (269,90 us dollar) euro and even more so the 152 euro seems like a bargain.
The high efficiency that will hopefully lower the electric utility since i pay all the bills "sigh" and the complete silence when i'm just browsing made my choice, the 100% modular is a bonus

Il probably post my rig when i'm done i also included new watercooling parts and all out black tubing inside one of the best looking cases: Lian Li Tyr PCX-500.
