    Considering the Gigabyte GA-Z68X-UD5-B3 for 2600k + 2x6990 build

I like the features and the layout of the Gigabyte GA-Z68X-UD5-B3 board so I'm considering it for the build I'm putting together here as a replacement to my i7 930 and Rampage III Extreme. But I'm wondering how well two 6990's at x8/x8 will perform in comparison to full x16/x16. What research I've done so far it seems I wouldn't be losing much if any noticeable performance compared to x16/x16 on a UD7 or Maximus IV Extreme due to the added latency of the NF200 chip. Anyone have opinions on this UD5 board concerning how it overclocks and how two 6990's would perform in Crossfire at x8/x8? Would you recommend a different P67/Z68 board instead? Thanks!

Thanks but I'm only interested in full ATX boards. I'm installing two 6990's which would take up all the slots on a Gene and it would put the cards sandwiched together which would make them run very hot.
