Hi, i wanna change my hd4890 for a new nvidia gpu and that what i found:

http://www.msi.com/product/vga/N570GTX-M2D12D5-OC.html (210 euros but from second or thrid hand)

    Or

this one: http://www.gigabyte.com/products/pro...px?pid=3525#ov (175 euros but new without usage)

I would not buy GTX570 without warranty or option to replace if it dies... cause they tend to die.

La de grudins o la de Acuista JAJAJAJAJAAJAJAJAJA.

PS: they perform about the same (a hair better the GTX570), but the GTX480 will have full warranty. If noise doesn't bother you I'd go for the GTX480 (as the GTX570 does much better in that regard).

Won't the 480 perform better at higher resolutions (more VRAM?)

Even if both were on new condition i would take the 480, just because is cheaper and its, more or less, the same.

New 480. Extra bandwidth and memory is a plus too.

Now that you mentioned, that is the main reason against buying 570 without warranty. They are weak and tend to die, as I said.

The 480 is louder, hotter and poorer performer in most cases.
MSI has a transferable 3y warranty, if he gets 2+ years on the used card, I dont think it is bad, BUT... the chosen card is a reference design and I would avoid it. Get a TFIII or an Asus DCII.
    Otherwise go new.

Is this pcb nvida reference design?

    http://es.gigabyte.com/products/page...80ud-15irev_20

Is the same gigabyte card with the windforce cooler, but will this card be compatible with any waterblock?

So the question is: wich is the diference between the GV-N480UD-15I rev.1.0 and the GV-N480UD-15I rev.2.0, just the cooler?

Go for 480 (more vram, more reliable).

Or go for 570 2.5GB version from EVGA.

    When did this come out?!

EVGA wants $400 for the 2.5gb version. How does it perform? Where's the reviews!?

Why is the gtx 480 better than the gtx 560ti overclocked?

    I upgraded from a 570 heavily overclocked to a 480

I prefer the 480 - yes it draws more power - but the extra memory and bandwidth really make a difference - I get smoother gameplay especially at high AA on my 480 vs my previous 570

mines a poor overclocker - but I still can manage 800 easily out of it

and 835 @ 1.138V - even at those on my Gigabyte - max temps in games is only about 89-90C - about the same as my 570 was

The Gigabyte card in the link you posted (http://es.gigabyte.com/products/page...80ud-15irev_20) is a non-reference design.

I use the SOC version with the same cooler as in your link. It is an OK cooler, not great but should be better than reference. MSI TwinFrozrIII that comes on the Lightning is probably the best factory non-reference cooler, the Asus DCUII is also a very good cooler, as someone else mentioned.

I have a Gigabyte 480SOC and a Gigabyte 560ti SOC, the 480 is faster, at least it has been in the benching I have used them for. I think the 480, since the prices have dropped is a great value.

Hmm... at which resolution? Did you change drivers version in the meantime?

if you intend to watercool then the gtx480 is a easy choice provided you dont care about the amount of juice they suck
my evga gtx480 do 875-900mhz stable on water with a mcw60 that i have been using since x1900xtx and a ek-vga-hf supreme then just the stock plate with a 120mm fan for the vrm\mem cooling
clock for clock gtx480 is faster than gtx570

I'd say GTX480 even though they are rediculously environmentally unfriendly. GTX560 is slwer hands down, and GTX570s have a habit of blowing up.
