so.. maximus II formula. new build.. not working

so last night i threw together my rig on some cardboard.

Maximus II formula
QX6700
ETC.. sig.

and i get power on. 3 seconds or so then power off. (repeat)

tried
re seat vga
1 stick of ram (both of em.)
Cmos Reset.


still same thing.


any words of advice?

will be trying to troubleshoot when i get home.

Remove CMOS battery, PSU power cord, set CMOS jumper to "clear", push power button (case & mobo) 3-4 times. It sounds like you have a buildup of stagnant electricity in the capacitors. If that doesn't work, use another PSU.
