Still getting the lag on the bottom right corner of the screen. Top right corner cursor lag is fixed though, which is a good thing.

Everything else seems to be running smooth except now my system takes like 20s longer than normal to go from the login screen to my desktop. Not sure if this is because of these new drivers or if it's because I switched from normal mode to UBER mode on my 6990.

I've been using these for a day, no issues. Mouse cursor lag is fixed. It refused to install APP 2.4 for me for some reason, but I just uninstalled the old version manually and that solved the problem.

Nice, just returned to ATi from nVidia so how do people normally upgrade? Been about 2 years since I last used ATi.

Install right over the old drivers or uninstall the old ones and then install new?

Ah I just installed right over the last one, never had a problem before when I used to run my 4670's few years ago.

No problems for me with these drivers over the 11.5 hotfix.

I usually just install over the top if it's WHQL to WHQL, but if doing beta drivers or going from hotfix to WHQL or vice versa I follow these steps:

If I'm having problems and I suspect it's because of driver install issues, what should I do?

You'll need two free tools - CCleaner and DriverSweeper. You'll also need to know how to reboot into safe mode, and to be able to use 'common sense'.

Disable Eyefinity groups, Crossfire, if enabled
Optional - Enter Device Manager: Uninstall Display Adapters and check box for 'Delete Device Driver'
Add/Remove Programs: Remove currently installed Application Profile updates (if installed)
Uninstall CCC and Display Driver, using Catalyst Install Manager Custom mode (Don't express uninstall if you have an AMD Chipset)
    Reboot into safe mode
Run Driver Sweeper for ATI, don't reboot. [Do not remove entries pointing to WinSxs folders]
Run CCleaner for Registry - only select for removal ATI entries (click on Registry button on left, Analyze, then only remove Entries listed for ATI).
Delete the following folders (applies to Vista/7)
    SystemDrive:\ProgramData\ATI
    SystemDrive:\Users\username\AppData\Local\ATI
    SystemDrive:\Users\username\AppData\Roaming\ATI
Reboot to desktop, run Express install on desired Catalyst driver & reboot if prompted.
Install all Application Profiles newer than Driver release (i.e. 10.3whql/a/b would use both March & April profile updates).

    OK, this package is great.

Longer Windows boot times, which is a bit of a pain, but top-right cursor lag is entirely fixed for me, light issues in The Witcher II are entirely fixed, and I've yet to come across any problems in games I play. Seems like nice improvements all-round.

Just like I reported with 11.5, VSYNC broken in eve online 2X5770 crossfire, cant be forced through CCC, cant be forced in game.
Its like twice what it should be, 60 gives 120, 70 gives 140, not only that but its like 120 isnt smooth either, like micro stutter of some sort.
Whats even worse is its seems only a 5770 crossfire issue and a few games, I found one other thread on Guru 3D mentioning the problem, so its not looking good for a fix.
So it looks like Im stuck with mouse lag and 11.4 or turn crossfire off and use 11.6.
Not much I can do, Ive reported it using the feedback link and I guess other people have too.
Gonna just turn crossfire off and use 11.6, the mouse lag was really doing my head in.
    SD..

LOL, downloaded 11.5 last night for a 6970 delivery today that I've just installed half an hour ago ... should have checked ... not to worry!

Bit disappointed with this card ... I'll make a dedicated post about the problems.

    crossfire problems

crossfire profiles screwed up my windows media center again some one really needs to fix this on vista.
I got a stuck frame while I'm watching TV now :/ it's flicker threw like every 5 frames it's annoying.
second Gta:iv is saying at 4096mb of video memory in crossfire but won't go above 800x 600 and everything gets stuck on low when I enable crossfire. I'm sure why I'm almost about ready to go search for 10.4 now >_>
