Has the mouse lag been fixed? after 7 months, its pathetic if its not, as of 11.5 it was not fixed. To ignore a problem for that long is not acceptable, especially for a billion dollar company like amd.

    From CatalystCreator here

Catalyst 11.6 is definitely newer than the 11.5b hotfix (full notes will be available tomorrow)

When installing new CAPs always be sure to reboot the system after (for the people with Witcher 2 issues in Cat 11.5 CAP5)

Catalyst 11.6 will be released tomorrow ! (will have mouse cursor fix ) Cat 11.6 CAP1 will come in a couple days too

You congrats them after 7 months, this should have been fixed the next release after the problem had come up. Which was in december of 2010.

it isn't, its only brought up in every thread by pathetic NV fanboys... who cares about such a small " so called" issue as if it really is....they rather have there gpu burn down there laptop to prepare it for garbage collection.

as this seems to be the only problem you have with AMD drivers (judging by your amount of rant over this completely negligible issue) they seem to do a great job

seriously after instlalling 10.6 i noticed no difference and that's because i completely forgot about this issue 1 week after you pointed it out to me

and yes it's gone + i have no issues with the drivers

Ain't that the truth. Even if it's a bug I'd rather the developers focus on the real annoying and detrimental ones than one bug that is so trivial that I forget about it until someone brings it up again. How much time does anyone spend encircling the three buttons with a cursor, really?

    Hm... This is interesting:
    http://techreport.com/discussions.x/21133

More interesting than the handful of promised FPS increases is the inclusion of Steady Video, a new technology designed to smooth out shaky-cam footage. Steady Video can be accessed through the driver control panel, and it'll even work with YouTube clips. However, only certain platforms are eligible. Llano-based A8, A6, and A4 APUs are ripe for Steady Video, as are upcoming Zacate-derived E-450 and E-300 chips. Curiously, though, the existing E-350 APU isn't on the list of supported devices, though that may just be an oversight.

Steady Video will also work with select Radeon graphics cards, and AMD's press release chooses its words on the subject carefully, saying SteadyVideo works on "AMD Radeon 6000 Series when used in combination with an AMD CPU." AMD isn't any more specific about CPU requirements, which appear to exclude Intel CPUs. The use of "CPU" rather than APU suggests that any old Athlon or Phenom will do. If that's the case, Steady Video likely doesn't require specific logic built into AMD CPUs that might be missing from Intel ones.

I've never noticed that before, but it's there. I'm pretty sure you can send a message to the driver support team about it.

    Maybe 3DNow? :P

Only instruction set not available on Intel CPUs afaik. But even then i doubt it, considering AMD mentioned they will get rid of it in upcoming processors since nobody is using it.

EDIT: Whoa, this is interesting, from the Release Notes:
Decode Acceleration of MPEG-4 part 2 content

AMD has enabled decode acceleration of MPEG-4 part 2 content in Microsoft video player applications (through MFT support) for all AMD Radeon 6000 Series
    DivX/Xvid GPU decoding
Although it would have been nice seeing it added four years or so ago, when these codecs were still being widely used...
