awesome thanks for the info. I changed over my 5870's tonight and they are pulling around 388 now compared tot eh 375 before. both cards also seem to be running hot and stressed more than before. which I guess means that the tags are more efficient.

have you tried setting WCG to one core only? I have a 5870 in a machine with a 2.3ghz Core 2 Duo and If I let WCg run on one core and leave the other open I don't have any slow down issues. Granted 1 core of a 2.3ghz core 2 duo is nothing special but its better than nothing.
