    Intel SSD 710/720 details

    Here:



    Endurance for 100GB: 500TB and 900GB with 80% over-provisioning

    Performance in line with 320 with more random 4k write.

    No native SATA 6gbps seems strange...


    edit: does anyone know why I am getting this huge gap between my replies and my sig? This started with the new forum software.....

    Wow that is some endurance on those drives.

    Speeds are sort of yesterdays news but for a SATA II board like mine it fits nicely, and still faster than my current G2 drives from Intel which have been great.

    hmm, If the NAND endurance testing that is going on is any indication...those 710 series drives could in theory easily hit over 1PB of writes before failure

    with 200GB of SLC flash the 720 will be one expensive setup. But also any storage freaks wet dream... Do want. the 710 is kinda meh...

    710 @ sata2 indicates its an intel controller.. a big plus in which case its above all sata3 marvell/sandforce crap

    720 it better be intel controller it better be otherwise the specs^ go out the window

    if the future of storage is marvell and sandforce controllers we are fooked!
