Gtx470 - bios

Well i been running 2 GTX470's on my HTPC for loong time and today i desided to save overclocks to bios, what i noticed that there is newer BIOS aviable than current GTX470.
The bios in my GTX470's are 70.00.1A.00.03 (Date 04/01/10) but the bios i found in internet for my Point of View GTX470's is 70.00.21.00.03 (Date 04/14/10)
Board ID's dont match, my bios is DD00 and the newer bios have 5E00.

Any idea what have changed? Safe to flash into my GTX470's?

Do NOT flash a vBIOS to a graphics card with a mismatching board ID. Ever. Instead use nvflash from DOS to grab a image from your card, do not use GPU-Z to grab a image, it borks them.

Well i desided to do suecide and replace the A1 firmware with 21 firmware and it works (the different board id), actually it overclocks now better, before this flash max was 865Mhz, now its 910Mhz with air cooling (might be loosened timings in this different bios).
Bowth bioses are for reference cards and not for custom cards.

I did flash and backup the bios with dos nvflash, i dont use any kind of windows apps to do bios backups or upgrades.

Whats the difference betwean SO and DF version of GTX470 cards?
