    I've noticed some of the grays have been changed. Can actually read the announcement titles now.

    The main forum page and subsections (white) are so bright compared to viewing threads (gray). And the blue text on white bg doesn't help.

    The Brightness on my monitor will not go low enough to match the contrast needed to read clearly. I'm liking the layout and most changes except the font size/colors for some things.... I didn't check recently but again...please enable tables.

    Not a fan at all.
    Find the background is glowing more than the text im trying to read (describing the feeling).
    UAT would have been an idea before releasing to the wild.
    Font size is too small and thin for me

    I enjoy the new site, its easy on my old eyes and I can read it just fine in this poorly light dungeon.

    QFT. that's one of the most obvious and distracting issues i have with the new layout. another thing are the colors of text/background and several font sizes. e.g. blue username on dark grey background is pretty horrible. i'd also increase the size of the username. another example are the drop menus at the top of the page ("quick links", "forum action"), dark grey text on dark blue background, not to speak of the strange grey background of the expanded drop down menu. there needs to be a lot of tweaking regarding these things, no doubt.

    however, i like the new vbb layout. it's refreshing and new - way better than the old theme. the former xs-layout looked pretty old and dull and i've never really liked it. i'm glad it's gone for good now

It will eventually start to feel like home again but, there's a lot of construction that needs to take place before that happens.
    with due respect to fugger and the work he puts into xs, it has always been an issue with xs that there's no testing done BEFORE things get changed on the production system. usually you should have smth like a test system, maybe a staging system and a production system. since such systems cost money, let's reduce it to just test and production. this has been criticized several times in the past by a lot of people (including me). even though i'm sure "fugger and friends"(TM ) are working on improving the theme, we all have to live with a pretty ty looking theme for weeks until it gets fixed . this could have been prevented quite easily - why not prepare a fully optimized theme before the whole forum is upgraded?
    i've administrated quite a few smaller forums (<100 users) and even there i always prepared everything on a seperate forum installation. and only if everything worked and looked like it should, i've applied the changes to the actual production forum installation. since xs is such a huge forum with thousands of members and even more readers, you'd expect a little more professionalism when it comes to these things

    don't get me wrong, i don't want to offend the people who run these great forums, but there are a few principles that should be respected when running such a huge community. and if you don't follow these principles you should by no means be suprised when the forum is flood with lots of critics and moaning

    Absolutely no argument from me on this point.

    It just really annoys me (and I'm sure I'm not the only one...I just have the gumption to say something about it) when ppl don't read topics before posting something that has been addressed in that topic.

    If anything I do like the color of the text/bg of the code box.
    Stands out nicely and it's very readable.

    Ex.
    Code:
    1
    2
    3
    4
    5
    6
    7
    8
    9
    0
    I do think some of the other stuff needs work but whatevers, it works .

    Exclamation Reduce space on Posts

    Fugger you have to reduce space on Posts !!!

    Just Do this !!

    go in:

    Admin CP -> Style & Templates -> Style Manager -> CSS Templates -> Postbit.css

    Find:

    PHP Code:
    /*post bit*/
    Add under it:

    PHP Code:
    .postbitlegacy .after_content {
    clear:right !important;

    Save.

    Also add on CCS...

    ------------
    additional.ccs

    PHP Code:
    /* move up signature */
    .postbitlegacy .after_content {
    clear:none; }
    ------------
    postbit.ccs

    PHP Code:
    /*post bit*/
    .postbitlegacy .after_content {
    clear:right !important;
