I use VB 4 for some writing forums I run and had to heavily modify a purchased theme outside of the stylevars to get it looking anywhere near what I wanted. I sort of regret upgrading to VB4 because it hasn't been any better than VB3.

Also, more than a few people with experience cookie log-in problems - this is par for the course with vbulletin because of slightly differing URL structures and in general VB4 not playing nice with VB3 cookies existing on the PC.

Good suggestions. I support these changes.

Man I love this skin. It took me ages to get my forum back to what I could do on vBulletin 3 via the stylevars, but I think this is a great start and I'm loving the different colour hues.

    - First of all congrats on the update! The skin isn't the best, but hopefully we'll get one or two more in the future so that we can choose whatever we want. Regarding the contrast you guys are talking about, I personally don't have any problem on my 22" LG.
    - Emoticons and some images are not displayed
    - As someone else said please change Settings to User CP
    - Integrate an auto image resizer, it will be really useful!
    - The Auto Saved feature when typing a post is f-ing great
    - The VB4 Dark (skin #2) still needs some work. Because font is kinda "lost" in that dark grey color.
    - I also can't see some images, maybe the ones in [img][/img] I don't know. Chew's C5F thread pics are ok...

//EDIT: Yeap I'm definitely having a problem with emoticons, can't see them at all. I only see a small image that implies they do not work

I hate this quick reply bs.
Every time I goto make a completely new one it makes me use this stupid thing.

Anyways I'm so drunk right now.
But I can say for sure, even doh I'm drunk, the keep logged in checkbox is there, it's just hidden behind the banner.
Either click on it once and hope that does it, or del the freakin' banner element from duh user side and no more probs lol.
That's if you have a del element hack thingy in your browser like eyes do hehe.

Lol, seriously just click on what is left of the checkbox, the top 2 pixals' or whatever it's all good.
    For nows.

I don't really like this update, it needed one but this looks pretty retarded.
Needs some lovin's, err moddings .

It is hard to see but it can easily be clicked. Just need to keep trying or they needed to fix the ad banner. Either get rid of it or move it down.

BTW, is it just me, or it just seems to me this way after upgrade, that way less threads get marked as unread/unvisited after upgrade even if it's so judging by last post times in them?

I like the idea of upgrades but the reduced contrast between some of the text and the background is not good for my eyes. The announcements lines are illegible.

Good luck with the vb4 update. I updated my site a few months ago and it takes a lot of work to convert everything over and also to make the style look nice. Below I will list some links of some mods and other things that I found useful that you may be looking for. This should hopefully save you some time:

Also I do not know how you feel about the default icons in vb4 (personally I hate them) but here is a link to some nice icons that you could edit to work in the forums as replacements. You got to be a bit creative but the icons I found here along with the changes I made to them did wonders for me: http://icons.mysitemyway.com/

Once again, good luck with the transition and be sure to give yourself a day or two to relax too b/c it is a lot of work!

The Quick Navigation at the bottom of the page absolutely sucks, if you're in the AMD section and you click on the Quick Navigation drop down menu you have to scroll sideways to see everything

Same in the LC section. Mark forum read is also busted in the LC section but seems to work fine in the LC worklogs sub forum.

Oh, and another thing with Quick Navigation - even if you're in the off topic sections towards the bottom, clicking the menu opens it starting at the very top (i.e. the section you're viewing isn't even visible until you scroll down to find it) - :/

Since the forum change I've gone from averaging about thirty open tabs of XS to not having it open at all.

Oh, and PLEASE bring back the old menu structure for the top of the page. I can't go from viewing new posts straight to viewing subscribed threads. I have to first click Forum before I can click Quick Links, Subscribed Threads. This absolutely stinks
