Guys this theme is the stock vbulletin theme. Don't worry, it won't stick around

Another site I'm a member of looked exactly like this when they first did the upgrade.

So, who was pounding F5 all day trying to get on here? *raises hand*

<edit> interesting, a bunch of the smileys are busted.

Sparky: whatever new themes will be introduced, please leave option of one that looks like old one available.

Sure hope so - cause the default theme looks awful as if it was cloned.

Like the new look but agree that a darker version would be an improvement.

Also noticed all previous posts by users are no longer viewable in their profiles.

It's funny how we all like different things - I kinda like this look, but imagine it will change as things get tuned up. It is bright, but that allows me to turn down my display on the laptop.

I don't mind this layout, but I also would like a slightly darker background. (hard on the old eyes)

Me too! It would be great to have the choice which theme to use (new or old one). The old theme looked quite dated and dull

OMG it doesn't feel like im on XS any more. The whole new design makes it feel like I'm in a total different forum. Please bring the old design back or change the colour scheme to the one that represents the old one the most.

Everything looks too bright and bubbly. The layout, colour scheme and images needs to be flat and more minimalistic.

I appreciate all Fugger does for sure, without him there is no Xtreme forum.
With that being said, I'm not a fan of this style bored, another forum I belong too uses this format, and well....I don't go there much.

Hopefully it'll be customizable enough to make it look good like the older format, cuz that was top shelf.

playing with colors and learning the setvar locations.

No way to get old look back with new version, eva2000 might be able to help tweak colors more.

When I am done tweaking color scheme I will save it as an user selectable option and test more colors.

I find the background too dark for the black text. The light quotes only make it worse. Generally speaking dark text on a light background is more ergonomic.

(I realize most people have their monitors/TVs set very bright. Typically in excesses of 150cd/m2. I'm viewing this from a hardware calibrated monitor set at 120cd/m2, which is already consider far too bright for printing purposes.)

I think the best solution would be to offer users an option to customize the colors or a choice of limited number of alternatives
